The bridal party
This is my very uneven bridal party.... Mr Mustard has three groomsmen, and I only have one bridesmaid :)

1 month, 7 days to go
With only 1 month and 7 days to go before the big day, I am in the mood to set up a daily blog-log to document (and also remember how much fun it is) planning my special day.
Lets see, so far, we have just about got everything done. The venue is booked, the photographer is booked, flowers... booked, decor... booked and decided, dj...booked :)
Ive already made the wedding favours, which are these cute little crystal bookmarks, but I think I should make an extra 10 for "just in case". Today, I started, well actually only made the mock up of my pew cones. We are having our guests throw petals on us as we walk down the isle, that way everyone gets a chance to to throw theirs and to be honest, I think it looks a lot prettier than people crowding outside. So, I have made these pretty little cones, that are attached with a ribbon that will hang at the end of each pew. They will be filled with rose petals and have the ceremony order of service card inside them, which I really like becuase I am not a fan of placing them on the pews, it reminds me too much of a formal school function :)

My only decision at this point regarding the cones is do I want the pink or the brown cone? To be honest, I would love to have both, love how they compliment each other, but this would just push the costs up a bit too much :(
Well, thats it for day one of my blogging bride... lets see what tomorrow holds

Moulin Rouge
True Romantic
If romance is on your mind, a soft, dreamy theme will do the trick. This mood board inspired some of the elements of my own wedding decor. It's soft and flowly creating a lovely, romanitic ambaince. Go for lots of cream or white candles, use clusters of roses overflowing in silver bowls as your centrepice and compliment it with silver plate underliners...
Complete the look with a fully draped venue and fairy lights, draped chairs with beautiful white organza bows and a hint of pink to break the contrast.

Pink Chocolate
The contrast of pink against brown looks so good, you almost want to eat it. This theme can be carried out throughout your entire wedding theme, from your dress, to the decor to the cake... For wedding favours, go for dark chocolate balls wrapped in pretty little pink boxes, tied with a pink ribbon for that extra glam. Your cake should be chocolate and rose petals should be scattered all over.
Choosing a photographer
Choosing a photographer is one of the most imporant (after you and your groom of course) aspects of your wedding. Your photos capture your special day, and you want to ensure that you have fond and fabulous memories.
When planning a wedding, cost is always invloved, and I mean high costs. However, your with your photos you should not skimp. If you absolutely must cut costs, reduce your dessert table or go for less flowers and decor instead.

The kids Question
This is often a tough one, deciding on whether or not you want kids at your wedding. In my opinion kids spoil a wedding, they dont enjoy it, their parents dont enjoy it, and more importantly the bride and groom dont enjoy it.
At the end of the day, remember its your day... you are paying a lot of money and again, its your special time. If you do not personally want kids at your reception, tell your guests and put it on the invitation, if they get offended, then they clearly dont understand how important your wedding is to you.
